Re: Linda Ronstadt - Long, Long Time

Neil, doesn't this song cry out for an instrumental! I hope others agree. I love this song. I hope you will bless us with an instrumental. I will be patiently watching and waiting for it "for a long, long time." If it doesn't happen I will have to be satisfied with a lyric in the song..."'Cause I've...

Re: David Francey - Red Wing Blackbird

Very enjoyable. Thanks for sharing. My extensive TG ear training thinks he (the guitarist) was in DADGAD or at least double drop D tuning ( of course capo on the 3rd fret), but then again I may need hearing aids! :S

Re: Busking Jonathan Edwards -Sometimes

<r>Very enjoyable! Good job on it. Certain songs we play (sing/perform) belong on our short list. "Wheel House" comes to mind listening to the video. As a long standing and established member of the "silver back" club (old male gorilla club), I can barely match my spats to my leisure suit and top ha...

<r>I hope I successfully changed this to a zip file and that it is part of THIS post. :X I guess I am truly an Analog man trying to cope in a Digital world! If by chance "thereshopeyet" then maybe this attachment/post can still be a successful one  <br/> <br/> Again (if its attached) I look f...

Music Theory 101 Visual Aid

<t>First, I hope my attachment made it along with the post. If not I'll try again.<br/> <br/> When I was trying to learn music theory and being told what chords are in a given key I listened and took that info at face value, memorizing and following what was being taught. I just wasn't being told th...

Re: Full play through section on every lesson, please!

I like the idea of "Hologram Neil" giving a one on one lesson in our living rooms !!! If CNN has this technology then TG shouldn't be too far behind. No R2D2 required!
