Re:What are your "Guitar Goals" for 2010?
<t>Bill,<br/> <br/> Great idea for folks to get thier guitar goals in writing. I want to learn some slide guitar this year. I've tried a few times but have not really stuck with it enough. That's terrible since Duane Allman is one of my all time favorite guitarists. Also want to finally be able to s...

Re:Barriers to Improvement
One barrier for me is when I try to take on too much music and cant get to all the songs I am working on. Another is my difficulty with rhthym which makes strumming difficult at times and that is why I do alot of finger style songs. I am sure I will think of other reasons.

Re:Oldest and Youngest TG Members
Well I am 62 and playing off and on for 30 years, but the past several months have been the most exciting guitar times with all the great things I am learning.

I am also working on Here Comes the Sun, Dust in the Wind, Margaritaville (pretty much have got that down), If YOu Want to Sing Out, Sing out (couldnt resist learning it after the repetitive commercial), Who'll S...

HI Jay,
I saw her perform that song just a few weeks ago. I am a big fan.

Re:How stupid is it to buy online?
<t>I have gotten some great deals on acoustic guitars online, but I always buy from reputable dealers- Notableguitars.com for Larrivees, Musiciansfriend.com for Taylor, Gibson, Martin. Maurys guitars, MYFAvoriteguitars, musiciansbuy.com and Trinity Guitars for Martin. They are all reputable and have...

Re:Are we getting a new song
Fire and Rain! That is great. I am also working on about 6 songs. I will be patient and not start it for at least s month, but having watched a few sections, I am convinced that I can learn it with a lot of hard work and Neil's excellent teaching.

Re:James Taylor Fire and Rain
there is enough material here to last for a very long time. I have to restrict my tendency to jump onto a new song when I still need to finish up on several I am already working on. The campfire songs are really a great way to build a repertoire.
