Re: On The Beat - Episode 646 - Weekly Guitar Video News Wrap Up March 4, 2022

I'm not working on White Bird, just because I have so much on my plate at this point, but I'd been looking forward to it for a long time, and I hope to get to it at some point I will certainly try to work out some parts at the very least. So, that's one vote for completing it. The part you played in...

Yeah, I thought that was what I saw the other day. That's one I often forget about lately, but which is really fun to play, even with that killer stretch. A great lesson and a major turning point for me, among many via this site.

Re: On The Beat - Episode 644 - Weekly Guitar Video News Wrap Up February 18, 2022

I'm working away on "Prudence." I've only made a few stabs at the chord solo so far, because I want to have the guitar part down pat first, where I can play it with ease. I haven't had much practice time this past week or so. I'd really like to take on "White Bird," and might someday, But it's a lot...

Re: Dear Prudence - Solo Guitar Arrangement

Great! I'm looking forward to digging into this. Thanks for it. It took me a few days to get the picking pattern down, a little longer than I thought it would, and I'm still having trouble with the main part working off the D. It's a tough to not mute any strings. That's harder than I thought it wou...

Re: On The Beat - Episode 642 - Weekly Guitar Video News Wrap Up February 4, 2022

One vote here (obviously) for an instrumental "Dear Prudence" lesson. I messed around with it a little, and definitely see how it could work, but I'm not advanced enough to work out a good version on my own, with all the details right, etc. Or maybe I am (I figured out the verse melody of "Take On M...

Re: Dear Prudence, rogue lesson?

Ah, should have read to the end. Yeah, I'm delving into the guitar one.

I haven't really tried yet, but I wonder whether this could be an instrumental/chord solo. I haven't tried hard to find an example yet, but I'm not finding any so far. It might be too much of a stretch. Thanks.

Dear Prudence, rogue lesson?

Hi Neil. I'm curious what this is. I'm working on the song, with a mind toward learning as many of the parts as possible and learning or working out a chord-solo version.. I am watching the regular lesson, but the description here is different (it sounds more involved, maybe), the links are all dead...

That chord in the mystery tune (which I don't recognize) sounds similar to this:

Re: Playing tuned to A=432 Hz

I'm just sort of aghast that we've arrived at the point where simply noting that observable reality is real, and that believing in toxic, obvious nonsense is bad, is now thought of as "being political." Did you watch the video? When Alex Jones is referenced, that's political - especially given this...
