Thanks for all the advice guys. I am focusing on one song right now as recommended in this thread. I have decided to work on the Ripple lesson Neil has posted. I am also looking at options for lessons, but time is so tight with the two kids...we shall see.

I cannot fin tab anywhere on this song. it is one of my favorites and I am really struggling trying to pick it out by ear. Anyone have anything? I can find piano music, but I have long since forgotten how to read real music (turns out my mom was right, I do regret quitting piano):lol:

+1 on this. I would love to see the intro covered as I cannot find a really good tab. This is a cool campfire type song that I need the intro. Chords and strumming are pretty basic, but that intro gets me.

I am currently into these really thin Peavy picks that my local store carries (I strum mainly, but flatpick a few things). They have a slight dish to them that makes them fit my thumb perfectly.
