England's Greatest Living Songwriter (Acc. to Elvis Costello)

Charming interview with a favourite artist of mine, Nick Lowe; worth it for the story of how he debuted ''The Beast in Me' for Johnny Cash alone...

Re: Welcome To Recommend A Lesson

I’m 70 and I play finger style guitar and I’ve been able to find tab for pretty much every song I’ve wanted to play except one, and it’s my dream to play it before I pass on to that great luthier in the sky… And that is In Flagrante by Dan Crary. I’ve even emailed him years ago and he himself said ...

Jane's Addiction - Been Caught Stealing

I recently saw a Travis picking version of this, and it was great, a country blues with a quirky twist; I thought it would be a bit different from the usual, and a worthwhile exploration of finger-picking arrangements of left field songs.

Re: Search query

Roger that, Neil.

Just for info, there's an extraneous posting of "All Day and All of the Night" under the two-part lesson by Max on "All Apologies".

It also has an extraneous posting of Max's 'Free Preview' link.

Just a bit of housekeeping needed, I think.

When looking for "Cavatina" I noticed that Stanley Myers doesn't appear as an option in the drop-down menu. When you manually search his name (in the main search bar, not the "Artist" search bar), it brings up Cavatina, just as if he DOES exist in the menu, (plus two pages of unrelated songs), so un...

Don't Know What I Was Thinking - Teddy Thompson

A simple strum and progression with some nice picked embellishments breaking up the pattern, makes for a great solo piece for a single guitar/voice.

That move from E to Am7 put me in mind of a song which I couldn't quite place; with the help of ChatGPT suggesting possibilities based on the chord progression, a female vocal, ethereal chill vibe, I found out it was Zero 7 - In The Waiting Line, I'd heard the song many times but never knew who it w...
