C U there.<br/> <br/> Hi Lynn,<br/> <br/> I actually thought my body was breaking down, and was starting to get really bummed that I wouldn't be well enough for camp. But alas, I'm raring to go.<br/> <br/> -Victo...

Hand Exercises to Prevent Injury and Tendonitis

<r>Hi all,<br/> <br/> Earlier this year, I had tendonitis in the thumb of my fretting hand. It was diagnosed as De Quervain's Tenosynovitis (ouch, it hurts just saying it  ). Basically, it hurt like heck at the side of my wrist and I couldn't play guitar effectively for a few months. I ended u...

Re: IGC For Beginners?

<t>Boy, September can't come soon enough...<br/> <br/> For me, I'll be a first time IGCer, and what helped me with my comfort level was watching all of the Open Mic videos from IGC 2013 and the compilation videos from IGC 2014. Many of the performances weren't perfect (which is right in my wheelhous...

6 Travel And Guitar Care Tips For Summer

<r>Thanks for the mention in the weekly wrap-up Neil. I'm glad that people are finding the "Care and Feeding" post useful. In keeping with the same theme, here's another blog piece for those taking their guitars on their summer vacations. This time it's from Taylor Guitars.<br/> <br/> <URL url="http...

The Care and Feeding of Your Acoustic Guitar

<r>I'm not a Luthier, just a player, but I thought this is an article that most everyone with a solid wood acoustic guitar would be interested in. This came out in January but is of course always pertinent. The focus of the article is more on Martin Guitars, but is still relevant (imho) for acoustic...

Re: Homework for IGC 2015?

<t>Hi Jason and Vanessa (and Neil through the Weekly Wrap-Up),<br/> <br/> Thanks for your replies. I think I've got a few songs in my back pocket that I'd like to pull out and brush off for camp. Luckily, I've got the summer to clean them up, but maybe I may take your advice and work on something ne...

Homework for IGC 2015?

B) I'm going to be a first-timer at IGC this year and I understand that there will be a lot of Open Mic time. OK, that means that I'll need to start learning some songs to put in my back pocket right? So how many songs should I prepare for?
