Re: Pick-y, pick-y, pick-y; the continuing saga of a woman in search of a new favourite pick

<t>I tried to keep my 2 cents worth to myself but can no longer hold back. I have been playing for around 40 years and my favorite pick of all is the Jim Dunlop Tortex, orange, .60 mm. I can't play with a pick that won't bend. (Depending on who you talk to, I can't play with one that bends either.) ...

Re: Underated Guitarists

Saw Mr. Trower at a large venue back in the mid '70's with Head East and Montrose and again at a small club around '87. The little skinny guy sure can play.

Re: Visible String Sine Waves?

I have noticed this phenomenon for quite some time. If you hold your guitar in front of a television and sight across the strings, when you hit the string you should be able to see what appears to be a sine wave. At least it works on American cathode ray tube type televisions.

How about a little help? A google search turned up no less than 15 songs with those exact words ranging from old school metal through country and gangsta rap.

Re:Mandolin anyone?

<t>Hello Mike,<br/> <br/> I am interested in whatever you have to offer. An old friend recently gave me a vintage mandolin banjo. It is currently at a luthier being refurbished. This "free" instrument is going to wind up costing me several hundred $$$ American but he assured me it was worth the mone...
