Rolling Stone lists
<t>It was these same visionaries at Rolling Stone that panned Texas Flood when it was released. Good call there...a testament to their musical<br/> knowledge. That Vaughan guy will never make it in the music business! I guess they forgot that when they now named him #12 all time...<br/> <br/> If you...

<t>Neil,<br/> <br/> YES! :woohoo: One vote for "Stealing"! I am actually going to see Leo in October out in Pennsylvania...I try to see him every year. Also going to see Tommy Emmanuel in a couple of weeks as well. I am always up for some more Leo Kottke...I actually posted a version of Crow River W...

Re: Busking Leo Kottke
<t>Al,<br/> <br/> Sorry it took so long to get back on this...i am busy working on some more songs! You pick the strings in pairs...on a song like this, Leo actually constructed the song so that the octave strings are picked first to accent them in some sections of the song rather than the strings t...

Re: Busking Leo Kottke
<t>David,<br/> <br/> Another one I would like to see a lesson on would be Arms of Mary, mainly because Leo did it on a six string, and iit is such a beautiful song. So many of his songs really only sound good on a 12 string (Crow River Waltz is a good example of that) so it would reach a larger audi...

Re: Busking Leo Kottke
<t>Bob,<br/> <br/> I would suggest starting at the beginning with Leo Kottke - The Driving Of The Year Nail, which I think was the first song on his first album. There is a version on YouTube from an old show in England called "Guitar Heros" from the early seventies, when Leo was at the top of his g...

Re: Busking Leo Kottke
Tovo...it was recorded using a GuitarPort from Line 6 as the interface to the computer. It was pretty clean, was a pretty fair dose of reverb and a little chorus if I remember right.

Re: Busking Leo Kottke
<t>Thanks to everyone for the words of encouragement...they are genuinely appreciated. I am a little surprised that some of you did not know Leo or any of his work, but then<br/> he has never been in the mainstream. Many people consider him to be among the finest guitarists ever, and he pretty much ...

Re: Busking Leo Kottke
Thank you for your kind comments...I do indeed know of the TabPigs......also have the Stropes books, which are excellent sources for
Leo's music. I try to see him every year...he is an exceptional performer.
