Glory of Love

A great old standard. Came across the recording of John Renbourne in a duet. Would make a great fingerstyle arrangement. I believe Stefan Grossman has a version. Neil - I’d love to see you work your magic on it!

One more suggestion-
Van Morrison’s Have I Told You Lately That I Love You

It’s a familiar melody and a lovely tune. It uses all the chords in the key. Van did it in E, but arranging in C or G brings up interesting options for voicings.

An instrumental arrangement of
While my guitar gently weeps
Mother Nature’s Son

Anything you choose will be great, Neil!

Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas

A little late to request a lesson- but this song (Judy Garland, Frank Sinatra, others) sets up nicely for a finger style arrangement in. G. I started working on it myself, but ran into problems w the bridge (some jazz chords). I found this nice rendition on YouTube. https://youtu.be/Xx0NhLkCJVU?si=8...

And So It Goes

Tommy Emmanuel does a great solo guitar arrangement of one of the most beautiful songs ever written.

Pat Metheny And I Love Her arrangement

Neil- your arrangement is great. This arrangement has a jazzier feel, in Gm rather than Em.

Re: Guitar Geography: Intervals Webinar - Post Your Questions!

Neil- In playing triads up the neck, are there different “feels” with first inversion and second inversions? Do they stress the third or the fifth differently and does that matter? Or is it more about finding places for the melody or bass line? Is it the same with major and minor triads?
