Re: Galveston by Glen Campbell

Thanks Neil.

Just wanted to correct myself. Glen Campbell starred in the movie Norwood about A soldier returning to Texas from Vietnam. It does not include the song Galveston. I guess I did not recall correctly. :(

Re: Galveston by Glen Campbell

I grew up mostly a rocker with notable exceptions in pop. Got a bit more into prog and fusion as I got a bit older. Still like it all. Oddly enough, two of my first searches here were for Please Come To Boston and Galveston (IIRC, this was turned into a TV movie starring Glen). Too bad I'm not curre...

Re: AMERICA, Never Found The Time

Yesterday I watched the Rick Beato video you mentioned. I am familiar with his channel and have watched some of his videos. Every time I see his name I read it as Beat-o. Interesting mention of Croce in regards to 12 string guitar. It's not something I generally associate with him. Anyway, the...

Re: AMERICA, Never Found The Time

Chris, I never heard this song before despite considering myself an America fan. I guess that's not really true. I had History (hits), Hideaway, and Harbor on vinyl back in the day. Probably have 10 downloads from albums unknown to me. I later purchased their Christmas CD. Have seen a number of conc...

Hi Carol,

I'm glad this thread was bumped because I listened to this when you posted it. I'm not sure why I didn't comment then. I definitely enjoyed it. Just gave it another listen and enjoyed it again.

Re: On The Beat - Episode 635 - Weekly Guitar Video News Wrap Up December 3, 2021

I've been considering a lengthy "what the heck" wishlist that included a Christmas song. My original thought was something with swing from Brian Setzer Orchestra or possibly Michael Buble. However, the problem with most Christmas songs is they're out of place except a few months a year. There are so...

Re: Gordon Lightfoot's Beautiful

Although I have some anthology of Gordon's and bought an instructional DVD by Pete Huttlinger, I'm mostly familiar with his hits. That DVD is buried in a box somewhere next to Pete's Croce and Denver instructionals. It's been so long I can't recall if I learned any of those songs. This sounds slight...

I just hum In-A-Gadda-Da-Vida. Seriously, I do the old boring 2 verses of Happy Birthday.

Did you write that? ;) J/K You made me want to learn it. Thoroughly enjoyed both of your performances. The vocal harmonies were great.
