A few weeks ago I was reminded about possibly adding The Palace Of Versailles to the TG Library. It seemed like a no brainer and it is live now.

Blackbird by Anton - 48Yamaha
Hey Gang,
Anton was a founding member of TG back in 2009. He is still working on stuff and he uploaded his version of Blackbird. Check it out and my review at the TG Student Reviews link when you can.

On The Beat - Episode 828 - Weekly Guitar Video News Wrap Up November 7, 2025
https://youtu.be/qAxYS5qmxYY November 7, 2025 This week an unexpected project grabbed me and I had to drop everything and go where it led me. I became obsessed with The Weight by Robbie Robertson and The Band, and particularly a solo guitar version. At first it seemed ridiculous to even attempt, but...

Re: Barricades of Heaven
Thanks for the reminder. Great tune which I have considered doing a lesson on before. The progression is very basic (four chords mostly with one extra in the bridge) but there are some cool fills that are worth looking at. The live version is a whole step lower with his guitar tuned down so he is pl...

The Twelve Days Of Christmas - Solo Guitar Version
Well this may not attract or inspire many of our instrumental players but since I opened this door a couple weeks ago I figured I had to follow through. My solo version of The Twelve Days Of Christmas is now broken down in a complete lesson. I do point out that you may not need to play all the verse...

Acoustic Snapshot - The Weight
https://youtu.be/dHTb0-qCElI November 6, 2025 Well inspiration can strike unexpectedly and frequently inconveniently. While in the midst of too many projects already, Robbie Robertson and The Band's iconic song The Weight popped into my head and I wondered if it was a candidate for an instrumental a...

On The Beat - Episode 827 - Weekly Guitar Video News Wrap Up October 31, 2025
https://youtu.be/XO28vxI3QyQ October 31, 2025 This week I got sidetracked into catching up with lessons on some Tom Petty songs that I had been meaning to get to for years. Just a couple loose ends and now Wildflowers and Mary Jane's Last Dance are in the TG Library. Most of his songs are relatively...

Mary Jane's Last Dance - Tom Petty
Continuing my Tom Petty kick, we have added Mary Jane's Last Dance to the TG Library, appropriately on Halloween! https://youtu.be/zIZAGseM690 Like many Tom Petty songs, Mary Jane's Last Dance uses just a few easy chords. But he gets great mileage out of catchy melodies and important guitar techniqu...

Tom Petty - Wildflowers
Hey Folks, A few Tom Petty songs are ones I have been meaning to get to for years but I kept getting sidetracked (very rare and almost unheard of for me!!). Happy to finally get to Wildflowers now, with another on the way soon. https://youtu.be/9EdTiRfpx-4 Many of Tom Petty's songs feature just a fe...
