Thanks for posting your thoughts and it was really fun spending the time and getting to know you. We obviously grew up with the same soundtrack and influences. Next time I'd like to hear you play something! Too much talking, as I see on complaints on some of my YouTube Previews. ;)

Guantanamera is a basic progression, nearly the same as La Bamba and Twist And Shout. The best way to play Pete Seeger's version is in Dropped D (he has different versions capoed at different frets), and frequently substitute chord ii for IV (Em for G). Let me know if that helps.
