Well....the guitar part is easy enough.....the whole song is only one chord, C7. I don't think I've ever heard another song with only one chord. And I had never noticed this listening to this song before.

Re: >> Newest Target Lesson - Chord solos - Volume 1 - A Guide to instrumental arranging

<t>Oh my gosh<br/> I had gotten involved learning a fingerstyle arrangement of My Cherie Amour and haven't been here in a while. This is exactly what I've been waiting for to join TARGET as solo fingerstyle is all I play and having to figure out someone else's arrangement is so slow when I can't see...

Re: >> Newest Target Lesson - Jimmy Buffett - A pirate looks at 40- ipod, iPad, Itouch ready

<t>There aren't many artists I would attempt to sing while playing guitar, but I have sung these songs so many times that I think I could solve differential equations while singing Buffett. He embodies a lifestyle I grew up around. Hmmmm...that brings up a question. Since I mainly play instrumental ...

Re: >> Todays Target Lessons - Jimmy Buffett - Come Monday

<t>Yep...and I heard the other day that they intend to build an office complex on the site of Judge's. Some really great memories of raw oysters and beer, volleyball, awesome music, and a great way to bring a weekend to a close. The FlorBama occupied several trailors for a couple of years after Ivan...

Mornin Six
Did any of those places I mentioned ring a bell? Judge Roy Bean's burned down a few years ago. An icon lost forever I'm afraid.

Re: >> Todays Target Lessons - Jimmy Buffett - Come Monday

<t>This brings back some really nice memories.....Having Buffett playing on my stereo in my sailboat as I sailed Mobile Bay. And then there were the couple of times as I came back home from Gulf Shores and would stop by a Sunday afternoon hangout called Judge Roy Bean's in Daphne, AL, only to find B...

<t>Nearly all of my concert going was between 1967 and 1984. Re: do you discover your progress sometimes??

For days and sometimes weeks, I will struggle with a chord change or finger picking pattern and then one day I will begin playing and it just comes and I say "Wow....where did that come from? Those times make me keep going.

Re: Dare to dream...who would you play with?

Ditto to Tommy Emanuel.....and I'd think I was in heaven to play some of the acoustic blues stuff with Led Zepplin......Hmmmm but Jim Croce? Now that's a pleasant thought.
