Re: John Lennon Oh My Love by Craig

Nice job Craig! As Mark points out, finger picking barre chords is a very tough challenge and you are doing quite well. I am also waiting for the wide-screen version :-)

Re: BUSKING AN ORIGINAL SONG CALLED CHASM

<r>Buddy,<br/> <br/> Very nice! Subject matter has so many (scary) truisms running through it for me as I listened. I think about this subject a lot these days actually. The song arrangement seems to me to perhaps lend itself to the style of starting very softly with a single instrument and slowly b...

Re: General Update

<t>Thanks to everyone for your kind words! The thumb will come along I am sure - in time. And quitting smoking was easier than I ever thought possible (so far, I am very aware of NEVER being able to have EVEN A TASTE again - and I am very ok with that).<br/> <br/> I am now enjoying playing a little ...

Re: Hello All

Hi Kevin,

Welcome aboard. I like your list of people who inspire you, me too. Tons of Beatles songs here as Neil is a huge fan. Have fun and ask away if you have any questions.

Re: beatles progress on blackbird by rapsidy

<t>Hi Brad,<br/> <br/> Very nice work on this, you will get more comfortable with the alternating thumb very quickly, just keep playing it every day for a bit. I know there seem to be quite a lot of people who don't seem to either like playing this song, don't feel it is worthy to learn or maybe jus...

General Update

<t>Since I have been pretty scarce around here of late I thought it was time I gave you all an update.<br/> <br/> First, the thumb problem. This had literally stopped me in my tracks these last couple months and is probably the main reason I have not been around much. Very depressing not to be able ...

<t>Neil,<br/> <br/> Thanks so much for sharing your insights on this with me (and with all of us). I guess some of the parts that don't come out as 'intended' are what Bob Ross calls 'happy accidents' and just become part of the piece. I have worked on this one a bit more since posting this a while ...
