Re: Challenge Board - calling all challengers and challenge seekers

<t>Who IS that talented young man?<br/> <br/> Nice thread, Shel. There is no doubt that TG is a great place to come for song lessons and as a reference for any holes in our knowledge of theory but it feels like it could be a lot more. I'm sure it used to be. While the high quality - and quantity - o...

Re: Strumming in 6/8 time

<r>This is a very good example Willem and you could use it for ´Can´t help falling in love´ as well (I mean, 6/8 is 6/8 right?!), it´s just that the song has a different ´feel´, so I indeed wouldn´t use it for that particular song, but I do for lots of others! <E>;)</E> <br/> <br/> <B><s>[b]</s>will...

Re: Happy Birthday Shel

Hey, Michele

I'm sorry I missed the day itself but I wanted to say that I hope you had a great birthday. You're a really fun person to have around here and I'm looking forward to seeing some more videos from you.

Re: Busking Styx

I guess it's been a while since I've been around here and I almost missed this. Great work Marc. Your guitar playing is always solid and it's a real pleasure to hear you starting to add some vocals. I didn't know the song but I enjoyed this a lot.

<r>OK, I'm game. This may not be my all time favourite...........but it's up there, and your post reminded me of it, Dennis. I't the RHCPs covering the same song - without a hint of irony. Love the bass playing and John Frusciante can sure hit some notes.<br/> <br/> <br/> <YOUTUBE id="5RK_eNEa91c"><...

RIP Jim Marshall

Perhaps, as guitarists and as music lovers, we shouldn't let today pass without paying tribute to Jim Marshall, who has passed away aged 88.

I like to think that I've seen enough of these clips to know to expect almost anything from them. I was NOT expecting that.

Re: Moloka'i Waltz by RicksPick

Very nicely played, Rick. That sounded great - and in time! Maybe a little staccato in one or two places but I'm sure you can iron that out pretty quickly. Good to see you posting again.
