Re: Busking Elvis Costello
<t>As a fan I would say not one of Elvis' really well known recordings but a good tune. I didn't know he didn't write it either so thanks Dean I learned something. <br/> <br/> You play with a lot of energy and as you said yourself it's an upbeat number. You looked to be enjoying belting it out that'...

Re: Donovan Mellow Yellow by NKenny
<t>Some very good advice already. Use the camera so much that after a while it doesn't matter that it's there. Don't worry about the perfect take, that's what makes you nervous. Turn it on and run through the tune several times. If you get to the end of a run-through and think "hey that went well" t...

<r>I came across this and thought it was really relevant to events I've observed lately:<br/> <br/> <I><s>[i]</s>“It's okay to disagree with the thoughts or opinions expressed by other people. That doesn't give you the right to deny any sense they might make. Nor does it give you a right to accuse s...

What an outstanding post Dennis. I read it with great interest and everything you said made perfect sense.....naturally I was blown away.
Hilarious ribbing aside, thanks for taking the time to record those thoughts and suggestions in such detail.

<r>Well I'd say it's very useful, if you very well know all your major scales that is. <br/> <br/> Other ways, well.....I think lots of guitarists play and memorize scales in patterns, or in steps. (the whole and halfstep thing)<br/> <br/> How do you approach it?<br/> <br/> Buttuh....I think you got...

I've been watching these bad lip reading videos for a few weeks. Still finding them very funny......love the Mitt Romney and President Obama clip. This one is great also.

As usual a lot to be learned from that review for everyone. You did a great job of a tough number here Shel and I really enjoyed seeing it all again.

<t>Bart's list is pretty good and I liked Ness's ideas about open mike sessions. <br/> <br/> I'll be sticking to my plans to attend a camp in Washington State in 2014 because although a commitment to travel to the USA isn't unrealistic for me, committing to an event that is less than 6 months away a...

Re: That's the way Chuck Berry plays it, you understand?!"
I was pretty impressed with Keith Richards. He wasn't at all intimidated by Chuck and I think many would have been. I was also in wonder of how easily he picked up what Chuck wanted him to play. Awesome. Still, he IS Keith Richards!
