Tommy Emmanuel Guitar Workshop, Parts 3 and 4
<r>I kept these videos together as they both cover the same topic - harmonics.<br/> <br/> In the first video Tommy shows us how he creates some of his harmonics effects and in the second, Part 4, he plays Secret Love using harmonics predominantly.<br/> <br/> <YOUTUBE id="fRiaLqCmZck"><URL url="http:...

Tommy Emmanuel Guitar Workshop, Part 2
<r>This is a relatively new song, called Haba Na Haba which TE played after being asked “Do you ever write songs without a guitar?” He explained that he often writes and practices without a guitar and played this tune as an example, as he wrote it on an aeroplane. He can hear the new compositions in...

Re: Tommy Emmanuel Guitar Workshop, Part 1
<t>Hi all,<br/> <br/> Thanks for the positive responses to the video and apologies for the delay in getting back here. I think I have another 4 videos that I can post for you - I'll stick them all up in separate threads to allow easier access. I'll put them up in chronological order to avoid favouri...

Tommy Emmanuel Guitar Workshop, Part 1
<r>As I mentioned briefly in another thread, this weekend I was fortunate enough to attend a guitar workshop which was put on by Tommy Emmanuel as part of this year’s Cambridge Folk Festival. <br/> <br/> It was a great experience to sit within touching distance and watch a true craftsman play and ta...

Re: Surviving in The Chord Jungle
Hi Chris
I'm not much of a theorist either but have you tried (using your naming method) x 2 2 2 2 0 - a standard A with an added B in the bass, Not sure if it's on your list, I gave up half way through them!

Re: Busking The Doors
<t>Dennis<br/> I was about to start writing that I really enjoy how you manage to capture the essence of whatever song you are performing when it occurred to me that it sounded a bit more intelligent than I usually sound and on checking back I noticed that Shel had already said it. I generally try t...

Just caught up with this and really enjoyed listening to your version - just the kind of thing to inspire me to go and check out a lesson. Great to see you posting again.

<t>Hey Suzi<br/> <br/> Great job on this tricky song. Really good to see you posting again. And I'm especially happy to hear you acknowledge that you have, in fact, made some great improvements in your playing. Sometimes that fact can get lost as we strive to play ever harder songs. <br/> <br/> Now,...

Re: Busking TG Original Collaborations
<t>Have to agree with whoever it was that said "Wow". This is a fantastic piece of music which is only enhanced by the unique way that it all came together. Can't say a big enough well done to all of those involved. Let's hope that this stimulates some further creative efforts by the TG community.<b...
