Re:Blues Run the Game
Yep, I can hear now that it's capoed. Don't know why I didn't earlier. Anyway, what's wrong with the hammer-on on the B string? Hammer on E to F# then pluck E again. isn't that what he's doing?

Re:Blues Run the Game
Linking the video would help. I found something on youtube, but there's no capo (at least I didn't see/hear any). There's a hammer-on at .53 though, 5-HO7-5 on the B-string if I'm not mistaken.

Blues Run the Game
<r>OK, I feel lame having played for so long and not being able to figure out a one second snippet of music, but this has me stumped. A YouTube video of John Renbourn playing Jackson C. Frank's "Blues Run the Game" where at the 53 second mark he does a hammer-on/slide down around the 8th fret. Capo ...

New video: Message in a Bottle
<r>Great lesson so I was able to learn it quickly. Played bass and guitar, looped the drums (unfortunately my neighbours won't allow a real drum set). Not really a serious cover though. Just fooling around. <E>:)</E><br/> <br/> <YOUTUBE id="TBTwkici9sY"><URL url="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TBTwk...

Re:Guitarist beyond description
Eric Johnson is truly great. I've always loved his music but now that I've tried to play one of his songs myself, I can appreciate him even more. To execute it is one thing, to come up with it another.

Please check out my new cover (Eric Johnson)
<r>Hey folks,<br/> <br/> I've produced a new cover, Eric Johnson's Song For Life, after a lot of practice. It took me a week to transcribe it and another two to be able to play it reasonably well. Please check it out and let me know if you like it. It's probably the hardest song I've ever played on ...

Hi Alex,
Classical Gas isn't up yet. I reckon it will be soon since it's high on many people's list. I'd check back every now and then.

Re:Guitar Date?
Depends on the brand of the guitar. Often the year is encoded in the serial number but every manufacturer does it differently.

Re:Fire and Rain
Thanks, Ric, for the suggestion. I'll see what I can do with the volume.
I hope I can get two more videos up next week.
