No. I do like a challenge. The issue is/was that your original JPG file was too big (dimensionally). The FILE size was fine (273K) but the image (2584 x 568) dimensions were too big. The image dimension limits are 2048 x 2048. See if you can resize your original JPG file and try to add it to this thread.

Cheers, Daryl. That'll do nicely. Thanks for the info.

So Dean , if you look closely you can see the C shaped C, the A shaped C, the G shaped C, the E shaped C and the D shaped C of the CAGED system.

I've dispensed with the C and G shapes for the purpose of soloing, the shapes as shown are placeholders sufficient to find my way on the fretboard no matter the key or chord of the moment. After a couple of weeks of practice adding fragments of the scale around the shapes I can confidently move the entire fretboard at will. I still need to consciously name the numbers of the scale steps, but that will come with a little effort.

Looks like you are getting a real handle on fretboard landscape, great work!

Cheers, Tom. Hope to upload some noodling when I can record something worthwhile. :)

Dean, are noodling on electric or acoustic? Are you using a backing track or did you make your own?
