Marc,

Fantastic entry! I thought the lyrics were very good and you sang them well. As for the playing (and singing), I have say that was some mighty fine picking. I just started on this song three days ago and boy is it hard. Being able to do it at this speed is impressive. Good job and good luck with the contest.

Thanks Mark, my challenge (to give you a head's up) with this one is in the verses when you go from G to Dm7 to Am over 5 strings then back to Am over 4 strings. The hand position is critical (low thumb behind the fret board) so that when you move from the DM7 to the Am you do not mute the high E string. The Am fingers must come down vertically, or you will mute the E string and you since you have to switch quite fast from the Dm7 to the Am, it adds to the difficulty.

All along this video I muted it or partialy muted it because I could not focus enough on the thumb position. Since Neil have emphasize this issue I have been trying to correct the thumb position but as you know old habits die hard.

Thanks Craig,

The trick is to roll all day long 3 medium size marbles in your hand as fast as you can to the fingers training ;) .

Marc, Great entry. Great fingerpicking. I too liked the "tired of playing songs wrong" line.

You ROCK Marc. I really liked that. Great fingerpicking and very clever lyrics. Good luck in the competition my friend.
