Third - not really a question but, footstools. Some of us use 'em, some don't. Not a problem bringing one (or two) but I recently bought and now use a 'Gitani' type of thing, attached to the lower guitar bout by suction cup, and then folds out with a strap that goes across the leg. This allows the player to keep the guitar in an 'elevated' neck position while keeping both feet on the floor. It's also designed for either leg (I have now changed back to the right leg) and believe me, it makes playing a LOT more comfortable. (AKA - 'ergonomic'). Muriel uses such a device and I remember someone here long ago posting about one. There are several different types out there and even some special designed pillows. Anyone who normally plays with a footstool - these things are around $35us and well worth the dough. Lots easier to keep up with too as they are attached to the guitar itself. As for protecting against suction cup marks, I use a clear film thing on the Taylor and Seagull and so far, nothing on the Tacoma or Gibson. The suction cups do not stick to non-glossy finishes so the transparent temporary film (same as the 'invisible' pickguards) is a necessity on satin finishes.

I've been doing this for two years now, and never looked back.

Genius - just flipping genius. I don't know about the money though, I been Jonesing a new sparkly concho type strap, lots cheaper without all the bling-bling!
I tried to tell you guys a long time ago. And it doubles as a shoulder strap if you need to stand up to play!

I've always felt there is a lot of genius obscured by simplicity, and I can think of no better example. I salute you, Mr. Heck!

I would like to attend the tour as well - if there are still spaces left.

Thanks!

Neil, looking forward to the camp. Thanks for the song suggestions and scales to work on that's helpful. I'd like to attend the tour of the Santa Cruz Guitar Co., if the trip is full please put me on a waiting list.

Cheers,

Bob Lindsay
