I appreciate all of the comments! Thanks!

The 4th verse was:

Going to IGC is the key
to getting better, uh-huh, (pretty inane lyrics, but so is the original)
to getting better, uh-huh.
learn some skills, up in the hills,
make new friends, or make amends,
write a song using pterodactyl.

If I were more clever, I would have ended on F#add 11, but didn't think of that in time.

As I watch these IGC videos, I prefer the ones where folks actually know how to play guitar and sing, but as they say you have to dance with what brung ya.

My original video is still on youtube:

I don't think my playing or singing has improved much over the years - too bad there isn't a TG money back guarantee :)

TGVanessa wrote:
Found the lyrics:

The left hand is the key to good guitar tone
Make a G, just like me
Watch your wrist, no baseball grip
See my A, the only way
Now back to D

The right hand is the key to guitar timing
It never stops, did I Say
It never stops, did I say
Never stops, never stops
It never stops

Putting it all together is the key
To making music, uh huh
To making music, uh huh
The right note at the right time
That’s all there is

How does the inspired by Al Stewart-verse go Jim?? :)

You totally cracked me up Jim, LOVED it!!

Jim:

Don't sell yourself short on the open mic night performance. You had the crowd going, and there is a lot to be said for entertainment value. Grabbing the crowd in live situations like that is not an easy thing to do. I remember thinking how cool it was that you were able to get up there and put out something you had just got together. You danced well with what brung ya... ;)

Hi Jim, I don't remember seeing this when it first came out, but I gotta say, your strumming is greatly improved!

Jim,

That performance was really awesome!! I was blown away with your humor, timing and song writing skills. That was really a highlight at open mic night. I enjoyed meeting you, appreciate the ride to and from camp, and hope to see you again!

Great - enjoy Hawaii!!! If you can make it I would love to see you again at camp, and would enjoy the ride as well!! That reminds me, my wife's birthday is just before camp...guess I need to plan something nice this year since it's my second year at camp.

I don't know if I typed it wrong, or it was due to spell-check. But, I meant that we were also visiting Molokai.

here is a photo blog by my wife of a day we spent on the island of Molokai.
