IGC - Things To Bring

TG started our International Guitar Camp in 2013 and now are hosting two each year, our Spring Camp at the end of April and our Fall Camp in early September.

Well we are less than one week away....

I have an old 1970's Ventura guitar, model V-12. NOTHING fancy to be sure, but it sounds nice enough. I can't play it, because it is all backwards and right handed.....

Anyhow, if anyone needs a guitar, I would be glad to bring it along. I am guessing everyone is bringing one, but in the off chance.....

Just let me know.... B)

I believe I rented the bed linens last year.
Is that a possibility this year?
Thanks,

I see in the Quaker "What to bring" regarding bedding is different than Neil's post as I copied in BOLD below. Is bedding provided?

A flashlight
Good walking shoes
We will provide Pillowcase and Bedding and Towel/Washcloth
Toiletries, including soap for the shower (unscented)
Sweatshirt/sweater (even during the summer)
Raingear (October-May)

We figured the QC bedding into the cost for everybody. You are welcome to bring your own but no real reason unless you need that special blankie or stuffed animal. At least one of my grown kids still travels with their teddy bear!

WHAT TO BRING and WHAT NOT TO BRING TO QUAKER CENTER

YOU WILL LIKELY WANT:

A flashlight
Good walking shoes
We will provide Pillowcase and Bedding and Towel/Washcloth
Just a clarification. This is what you said on your post but on the downloaded list it tells us to bring linens.

Thx

OK, it's time to pack.

The hardest selection for me is which of 10 cheap guitars to bring. It seems like we have more on the agenda this year involving amplifcation and recording, so I'm wondering how important it is to bring an electrified guitar. Would a mediocre electrified guitar glean more from the camp than a pure acoustic?

Thoughts, anyone?

Dan:

Wiley will have his pedals, and I am going to bring my Fishman Loudbox Mini for anyone to check out. If you are really interested in checking those out, I would bring the A/E version, but if you are more interested in just recording with microphones, the pure acoustic would due just fine.

Dan - bring whichever you like, you're more than welcome to borrow mine to goof with 'wired up' if you like. Pretty much everyone else is too.

Jason - since your bringing the Fishman, I'll leave the headphone amp out of my bag, if that's OK by you. In honesty, the thing doesn't reproduce all that well anyways.
I believe the amp you own has a headphone jack?

Four more nights to get in some sleep........

The amp does not have a headphone jack. I wish it did... I went round and round between this and the Roland AC-60, but opted for this one. I am quite pleased so far.

Hey guys, since I'm driving up as well, I was toying with the idea of bringing my Martin Acoustic Bass for anyone wanting to be a bassist for a song or two during the jam sessions. I hate to make promises because I don't know how full my car will be, but I'm almost sure I'll have room. I'll also bring a tambourine and moraccas so we can have some percussion too.

See you guys in 4 days!
