IGC 2017 Early Details

TG started our International Guitar Camp in 2013 and now are hosting two each year, our Spring Camp at the end of April and our Fall Camp in early September.

Excellent. I do have the acoustic—in fact that was my first guitar and, until Santa brought me the PRS, it was my only "real" one. If I can go I'll still probably bring the "Woody" pickup for it just in case, but I certainly don't need it.

I am very interested in attending this year, and have already blocked out the week on my calendar. The only issue will be a financial one, and I shall place very high priority on working something out. :side:

I have another question, one that's been bothering me over the past few days: how do you guys travel with your cherished guitars? Do you check them with your luggage? Take them on the plane as a carry-on? Ship them separately?

I'm still very much interested in attending this year's camp but have nary a clue what is the best route for keeping my instruments safe.

Hey Mark,

You're not the first to worry about that particular aspect of camp, nor the first one who brought it up. Below a couple of threads prior to previous IGC's, with some useful information.

Also, awesome to hear you're still interested and considering to join. I so hope it'll work out for you! :)

As a golfer I'm familiar with services like ShipSticks that make by-passing the airline part of the equation a simple matter. I'm somewhat disappointed no similar service seems to exist for musical instruments.

I guess golfers are considered a more lucrative demographic than musicians. :silly:

Okay; for good or for ill I've pulled the proverbial trigger and signed up. Now for the devil in the details of actually getting me and my babies there.

Doing a little happy dance.

Just booked my flights (via Delta; not many choices from this neck of the woods and of those available they have the best rep for travel with guitars) and I have a room at the Bristol for Sunday night so I'll be at the Sunday BBQ. :woohoo:

Okay, here's another question for ya:

I've done a bunch of reading and searching of this and the IGC site, and cannot find mention of the street address for TG Central. Since I'll be rooming at the Bristol Sunday night and plan to attend the BBQ the related address would be a cool thing to know. Am I just blundering past the info? :side:

Many thanks!

Mark
