IGC 2016 here I come!!!! Who else is going?

Hi Michele:

Most of us are a little shaky and nervous when it's our turn to get up at open mic. Luckily we are among supportive friends who are just as nervous as us. I just make myself get up there anyway, and sometimes my voice quivers, my hands shake, and I've even forgotten what I'm playing halfway thru the song, but I've always been glad that I got up there anyway. Chances are that you will breeze right thru it with no problem, but either way it doesn't matter. You'll get better too as you go along. We're all in it together so no worries.

Sandy and Lynn - thanks for the advice and observations about nerves. I do intend to be brave and just get up even if I'm feeling messy and am horrified about looking like and idiot. In part I think it's that fear that people will think I'm a fraud; as in people may feel that maybe I've got a twin who actually can play some guitar as videos suggest - and I'm not her. I will try to leave my self-doubting personality at home and just pack the one who's ready to take on challenges and give it a go. Yep two cabins for the women! Awesome!

Andy and Bob - I'm looking forward to meeting you both too. I'm looking forward to the fun.

Wiley - More women than Bobs, That's cute. I definitely hope so.

Hey Corina!

So when you say "...Neil will have a full day to manage all of you there this year!!!" I'm hoping you meant "...all of us..." meaning you'll be there too. Unless of course you mean that you'll be there of course but Neil has given up on managing you because he knows it's a futile task. that MUST be it.

I've watched you have fun for the last couple of years. I'm really hoping that this isn't the exception year. I've absolutely been looking forward to meeting you. And I know I won't be able to attend again for a fair while after this one. So I sure am hoping you'll make it too. Fingers crossed.

Oh and no light sabres, but I will be bringing a ukulele. Perhaps we can get you playing a song on it. I'm guessing you'll be hooked once you start. It's a great little travel instrument and has the sweetest voice; like a certain wine loving Dutchie I know.

Hey Sweety!

Well... Neil has given up on managing me, that's for sure :laugh:
and yeah... I know... it would be very weird not to be there after all these previous really fun and crazy IGC get aways!
So... fingers crossed.

And when all fails I will hand over the Torch with pride, to you, our very dear TZZ and oh yes I think you gals will have Neil in need to do a late evening " is everyone save and sound" inspection soon. :laugh:
He's good at that though. I remember an evening when I slept on the couch at camp, no pillows no blankets, all girls were snoring the night away and gosh it was COLD!! He saved me with a stash of his own, really too sweet

And who knows, since CCNess are traveling around the globe, we might end up one day down under in Aussieland B) :woohoo:
