Nice job Tom! Nothing is more terrifying than facing an audience with a guitar in your hands and all those expectations, yours and theirs! Still, best possible crowd to face :cheer: .

It is sometimes useful to write out the words and put the chord boxes where they should change, for a guide. Eventually you don't need them any more.
Learn how to play the tune before you sing it, or introduce the singing once you are comfortable playing it is what I mean.

I listen to the original Dermot, over and over. I also find the more you practice the song the easier the words seem to slot into place.Tom
I've watched your excellent video several times now.
You look and sound quite comfortable with it, more so as you get into the song.
When learning the song, what works for you when putting the vocals to the guitar playing ?

I'm not signed up for the IGC this year Bill as I am taking my wife on a special trip for our 30th anniversary a little before it.
In all honesty I haven't completely ruled out going to the IGC this year yet. Anyway, you will meet some great people there,
you will be well looked after and you will have a brilliant time. I would recommend doing the open mic night as it is a great experience, even if you are feeling apprehensive.

Thanks Bill, that's praise indeed. That was great, Tom.
You nailed the rhythm and chords and the signing was awesome. Good work.
Look forward to meeting you at this year's IGC.
Bill
