TG started our International Guitar Camp in 2013 and now are hosting two each year, our Spring Camp at the end of April and our Fall Camp in early September.

Hi Gang,

We are 2 weeks out from the start of IGC 2017 (along with a solar eclipse across North America!), and a couple TG VIPs are here at TG Central. Have a look at our Monday, August 7 Update.

Wow Chris and Corina it's wonderful to see you two with Neil at TG central. Your music sounds great. I can't wait to see you both in person. I'm going to be there on Wednesday for a lesson and hopefully I'll get to see you guys then. :) :) :)

What a thrill! Chris, you had me smiling here in Vermont. It is too bad you won't be able to attend IGC but it will be great that you will get to meet so many TGers.

I'm happy for you folks having this opportunity to meet :)
Your impromptu playing and singing sounds great, in spite of the thin sound on Youtube.

You also chatted a bit about the Neil Young/America mixup that occured when America's "Horse with no Name" first came out.
The tune can be considered as a rip-off of a sound that had been been unique to Neil Young until then.

I remember a "fun fact" from the book "Shakey", an authorized biography of Neil Young (2003), by Jimmy McDonough.
It turns out that Neil Young's father actually called his son to contratulate him on the success of "Horse with no Name" when it was at the top of the charts!
Uncomfortable explanations followed ... :side:

Have a good'un !

Pierre

Well done Chris, you finally made it to TG headquarters and met the big guy! :)

You guys and lady, (hi Corina) :P sounded great together. Pity you can't stay for the whole gig Chris, but I have a feeling
that maybe you will sometime soon. :)

You all sounded great together. :)

ZOMG! A thread tapping into my excitement over IGC and a video to drool over. I'm chuffed.

I am almost twitching with eagerness to get out there and see you guys—and get some time away from the studio and with my guitars. Work has been killer and I so, so, SO need a break!

See you soon!

Mark
