New York's Not My Home - Jim Croce

If you know of a song that you think would make a good lesson, here is the place to bring it up. As of May, 2015 we have over 800 song lessons but are always on the lookout for more. Be sure to point out what about the song makes it a good candidate, unique or unusual, a particular part that interests you, or just that you think a bunch of members would enjoy it. An embedded video would be helpful as well.

I'd love to learn, New York's Not My Home, by Jim Croce. This one is all fingerpicking. What impresses me most (as amateur songwriter) is how the song melody and the music melody compliment each other beautifully, yet they are quite different. I'd love play and sing it myself. This song is performed on two acoustic guitars (yet can likely go well enough with just one), but I'm guessing you can do your Neil magic and blend them a little, somehow. Cheers

More Croce would be great. There are many lessons on YT, but so many of his songs are not included. It would be fantastic to include Murray's guitar parts (even of songs well covered on YT).
