Pacing the Cage - Bruce Cockburn

If you know of a song that you think would make a good lesson, here is the place to bring it up. As of May, 2015 we have over 800 song lessons but are always on the lookout for more. Be sure to point out what about the song makes it a good candidate, unique or unusual, a particular part that interests you, or just that you think a bunch of members would enjoy it. An embedded video would be helpful as well.

How about a lesson on this ballad by Bruce Cockburn? It's got a beautiful melody, some challenging fingerpicking, and the lyrics tell a beautiful story getting older, which is something a lot of us senior members are dealing with !

Hi MB and welcome!

Thanks for the suggestion. Would you please include a link of the song? (a YouTube link)

This might be an interesting one, too. I like BNL's version even better than Cockburn's. and it's more suited to an acoustic lesson. Might even make for a good instrumental. And/or include the piano accents and cello solo, a' la "Year of The Cat."

Thanks for the videos!
And I also agree that the BNL version of "Dangerous Times" is more suited to an acoustic lesson.
