Lesson Request

If you know of a song that you think would make a good lesson, here is the place to bring it up. As of May, 2015 we have over 800 song lessons but are always on the lookout for more. Be sure to point out what about the song makes it a good candidate, unique or unusual, a particular part that interests you, or just that you think a bunch of members would enjoy it. An embedded video would be helpful as well.

Hi Neil - Wanna make a grateful student and ardent fan of everything you do, really really happy? Three incredible songs and artists - haunting lyrics and beautiful fingerpicking in perfect balance. Please reveal the secrets Neil!!!

1. Mary Chapin Carpenter - John Doe No. 24 - check out the live concert on Youtube
2.. The Water id Wide - Ed Gerhard. All due respect to Doug Young ... Ed's interpretation of this song is legendary. Emotive, texture, phrasing ... it's all there
3. Free Fallin' - John Mayer. Check out live concert with two of his acoustic buddies. Fabulous.

Hoping you can find the time ... and make us all happy guitarists! Thanks Neil for considering the request.

Hey Nick,

Thanks for the kind words and suggestions. I will take a look at those tunes. One thing that everyone could do when making requests is put the YouTube links into the post. Here are the ones you mentioned.
