Very advanced: Smiles and Smiles to go

If you know of a song that you think would make a good lesson, here is the place to bring it up. As of May, 2015 we have over 800 song lessons but are always on the lookout for more. Be sure to point out what about the song makes it a good candidate, unique or unusual, a particular part that interests you, or just that you think a bunch of members would enjoy it. An embedded video would be helpful as well.

This would be an awesome lesson and not for the faint hearted. The chord structure seems quite complex. I would love a lesson on it.

Hi,

I assume you are talking about Larry Carlton's tune. We have not done much in this style of smooth jazz/fusion as it pretty much requires a backing band along with very advanced playing skills, not to mention improvising. Great to listen to but not much fun to play alone at home, which is what most of the TG Community does. A lot of jazz background is obviously needed as well.
