Wiley - nice.

Corina - powerful song. If anyone has a dry eye, they won't after that. I hope you're a VERY VERY old lady before it's used.

I wasn't looking necessarily for a single song, just example of some song, artists or genres that make you feel good. When I started this thread Freddy Mercury and I were ROCKIN' the house. I felt much better afterward after having a crappy week.

So if you've got any more examples you want to share, post them.

I need to look some of those up. But the ones I know are great songs. I wouldn't call a lot of them uplifting, but they are powerful. I love Sacrifice. It breaks my heart but it really grabs me.

Thanks for sharing.

You are right Michele, about not all of them being uplifting, I understand what you mean.
The first song in my list is quite the opposite hahaha It's for when they put me " down under`'

Still to explain myself a bit better, for me music is a huge source of inspiration and thus uplifting, no matter what mood, sad or dreaming or happy or when in love, better said, it can empower every mood, but always in a good way...

So I just shared some of the songs who do this for me, but.... if you'd give me the same question and task tomorrow, you'd be given different songs :-)
(That's why I found it this hard to share my favorite one)

:-) Sorry I couldnt explain it any better

Music that lifts me up.....

There are so many songs that come to mind. Music, in general, has a way of lifting my spirits. Trying to narrow it down is difficult, but here are a few that will always get me motivated and feeling energetic.

America - Ventura Highway

Joe Bonamassa - Driving Toward the Daylight

CSN - Southern Cross

Minus the Bear - Pachuca Sunrise

Blackfoot - Guitar Slingers Song & Dance

Blackfoot - Highway Song

Steve Earle - Copperhead Road (I have been learning this one lately, and it is VERY fun to play - pretty simple 3 chord song with a neat little riff)

There are many, many more, but the post can only be so big.... ;)

Perfect explanation Corina. I completely get what you're saying. Music affects me in a huge way too.

Yep there's some great songs in that list. Others I don't know yet but I'll give them a listen. Thanks for sharing.

Shel!! Listen up!

Had these two on the radio today and volume went drastically up
Yeah...these two lift me up

Paradise by the dashboard light - Meatloaf
I was made for loving you - Kiss

Not a single turn goes by without having to put the volumes up when one of these come along B) :woohoo:
And... I'm pretty sure I'm not the only one who sets to "shoutsinging mode" along with them....

Two great choices Corina. Is it possible NOT to sing along to Meatloaf? :) Kiss and that song in particular reminds me of a certain high school dance and being infatuated (interested...?) with a boy in my year :) (Yep!)

I still can't resist singing it too. :)

When things are crappy ... and lifting-up is the thing !

I find that there have been a few tunes over the years to help out, but one has endured (and Neil's lesson is cool).

It's chorus is a MANTRA: TAKE IT TO THE LIMIT ! (one more time)
