Hey Michele,Being a sucker for a challenge, I might give this a go this evening.
Michele
Glad to hear that you decided to hop on board with this. I have to admit I can be a sucker for a challenge too although I have no idea what I'm doing.

Here's one - on a similar theme...must be the melody Neil!
And Winter Glows
As everybody knows
the heart finds it's own way
home - that place it most wants to be
Your picture's on the wall
behind you standing tall
someone who once looked like me
------------------
My boots are by the door
I don't need them anymore
My walking days are over now, it seems
Frosts are coming in
The birds no longer sing
These days they're only singing in my dreams
-----------------
(chorus / bridge melody)
One day I'll get that call
To come and join you all
I'll be following the path that you chose
Where springtime shines it's light
there's warmth on a summer's night
where autumn leaves are bright
and winter glows
---------------
(verse 3)
There's snow upon the land
a shadow on my hand
and a time for every man, that's the way it goes
I'm reaching out to you
a door i must go through
and a kind of goodbye too,
I suppose
-------------
(repeat chorus)
So when i get that call
to come and join you all
I'll be following the path
that you chose
Where springtime shines it's light
there's warmth on a summer's night
where autumn leaves are bright
and winter glows
-------------
vocals i'm thinking something along the lines of Bob Dylan on his new Sinatra album![]()
best wishes, David
Hey Jean! I managed to download the track last night and started to listen. That's as far as I got. I'm listening to it now on repeat. Ideas and words are starting to emerge, but I haven't started writing anything yet. Don't worry, I expect it to take most of the weekend (maybe more) before I post anything.michelew wrote:Hey Michele,Being a sucker for a challenge, I might give this a go this evening.

Glad to hear that you decided to hop on board with this. I have to admit I can be a sucker for a challenge too although I have no idea what I'm doing. But you are way more optimistic than I am; I'm going to need way more than just one evening! Unless, of course, I just give up.

As for optimism, well thinking you can do a thing helps get you there, right?! I've got no idea what I'm doing either, but I'm confident we can both come up with something; no masterpiece perhaps, but a fun attempt. I'm looking forward to yours.
