I wasn't saying you, in particular, do that, Dermot. I said "we," as guitarist, can do that.

Agreed. Firstly, I like this song! But secondly, I think that we sometimes dismiss a song as "too easy" and not worthy of our efforts.
Hi Suzi, I wouldn't say I've dismissed easy songs as not worthy of my efforts.
I've more been drawn to how do they get such and such a sound and the song is most likely way above my ability, and
probably practice it with bad habits.
I appreciate your comments and will look out some campfire lessons.

Suzi, I understood that, I didn't take your comment personally but did take it on board constructively

Good
I'm definitely not looking to point fingers. I often have myself go "back to basics" when practicing. In fact, I got back to working on double-time strumming this week in part thanks to this lesson and also from looking at the lesson on More Than a Feeling. It's a technique I never really applied myself to learning and finally decided I needed to just stop and do it. So, anyway, yeah, my comment applies to lots of us (myself included).
Anyway, I hope that Ness and I have been helpful! Looking forward to seeing your version of Down by the Water soon

Yes indeed Dermot. I have two days more or less either side, so looking forward to the whole experience. Two concerts and a visit to a luthier.
Good stuff.
