Now you're on the right track, although Elizabeth Reed might be stronger- I still waver on those, two of the best.

You are so right, two of the best. And either of those
songs can make an intermediate player step up to a more
advanced level.

After further review (and forcing my brain to remember both
songs), 'In Memory of Elizabeth Reed' would be the better
lesson for acoustic guitar.

I've always been a Dickie Betts fan. I still do the Betts lead on Melissa as a duet with a friend of mine, who does a solo acoustic gig. One of the few leads that I actually play note for note. Sadly, I don't do it with the band anymore, unless Joe shows up to sit in, (which is rare) and my wife demands it.

I haven't played Jessica live in years, but I'd sure like to.

I am saving my pennies for this one so I can get into the
program. I have always liked the Allman Brothers and
I certainly would like to learn 'Melissa'.

Speedie - there are a lot of great songs in the TARGET program that Neil covers in a very thorough and easy to understand way, it is well worth the price of admission.

Also, be sure to check out the groups found in the community section. There is a lot of fun information to be had and some great discussions in the groups also.

Keep Playing
