Hi Gang,
Since the speculation on this subject has died down, I guess it is time to post the tune I was working on last week in South Dakota. Thanks to an almost quiet room at the Best Western, I was able to put together a TARGET Short on the Sheryl Crow tune Strong Enough. It is up in the TARGET Section for our members now. Check it out and let me know what you think.
Neil
P.S. Does this make the trip tax deductible?
Modern Song and Female Artist Update
Neil,
Although I have never been a Sheryl Crow fan, that is a very cool little
lesson.
When I started the TARGET program I set out to break some bad habits. One
of those was using my thumb om my left hand waaayyyy too often. You have
done your job too well. No problems using my index finger for the F# in the
D/F#. But try as I may, I could not do it with my thumb. Correct hand
position is everything.
Thanks

Hi,
I have to say I have never been a Sheryl Crow fan either but when a student brought this song to my attention a few years ago I realized that there were some good teaching opportunities in it, time sig, altered chord, thumb wrap...
I don't see any others of hers on the horizon, and I am afraid I might chew her out for changing lyrics in an upcoming song covered by way too many people. I will try to hold my tongue, if I do it might be the 1st time.
