Hi Gang,

Not sure if everybody saw this as some of the related threads seem to have wandered off in their own directions but I am working on a system of teaching techniques that will help students be able to create their own instrumental arrangements of songs. Some of the TARGET songs that I have done this with include Wish You Were Here, Madman Across The Water, Ripple, Who'll Stop The Rain, and just recently Hallelujah. Here are a few thoughts on the subject-

I've always wanted to do that and never could really get the hang of it. I am looking forward to the lessons. For now though I am going to take your advice about learning the melody and chords separate and then putting them together.
