So as usual with TG we are fiddling away with various projects and this one is particularly poignant as a thread was started in the ideas direction at the same time we had begun working on the idea as well...so thx for the input all...
These lessons are such a cool addition the lesson series, I can see how a video coming from one of you soon, highlighting a medley of them...hopefully you will find them fun and a great new addition to the program...certainly gives a chance to have some new party tricks as you rip through your new repertoire ...
Look out for some additional features around this idea...as soon as we can free up some time.
Honky Tonk Women is one of the Rolling Stones and Keith Richards' most recognizable intros and and best known cool guitar lick. As such, it seems like a great song to introduce our series of Intros, Riffs & Licks (IRL). The guitar part is done in Open G Tuning (DGDGBG), although Keith likes to remove his 6th string in situations like this to have better access to the chord root, on the 5th string. Neil, going against better judgement and common sense, presents this lesson in just that manner.
You will find it under a new category in Target , Intro's Riff's and Licks

Hope you enjoy it , comments welcome
Cheers

That Intro lick to Honky Tonk Women is truly awesome..... but does it have to be minus the 6th string... I'm down 2 anyway on my 12 string and down another as I bust the g-string .... I won't have any left to play on!
