Todays new lesson is Life in the fast lane ..

This is an IRL lesson - (Intros, Riffs& Licks series)


Life In The Fast Lane by the Eagles. This was a song based on a Joe Walsh riff that has a Jimmy Page-like syncopation, where the melodic figure starts on a different beat after a few repetitions. See if you can spot the similarity between this and Black Dog, and even Band On The Run by Paul McCartney.

Thanks Neil and Matt, This one of my favorite riff song. It is so upbeat. I always like Joe Walsh work. He sure has no problems to show his guitar face (see at 4;29, he was into it.)

Always like Rocky Mountain way as well where the base could be replaced by palm muting. I guess I will put it in the requested songs section.
