Today's lesson is now live..

Duncan is a typical Paul Simon fingerpicking song with a story about the coming of age of a young man who enjoys playing the guitar.

The verse is done with standard fingerpicking patterns but the lesson also includes a solo arrangement of the instrumental section, which could really be considered a chorus, as it occurs between each 2 verses.

It is a level 6 song and ready now for all Target users..

Hope you enjoy it

Cheers

Matt

Firstly, let me say how much I'm loving these Paul Simon lessons. They've been a real treat.

Secondly, this is the only PS song (so far) that I don't know, but I think it'll be a new fave. It's very pretty and looks like it'll be fun to play. Thanks so much!

...."I was playin' my guitar lying underneath the stars. Just thankin' the Lord for my fingers...for my fingers"

I have always liked this line from 'Duncan'. Thanks for another great Paul Simon song.

I'd forgotten about this song. Its been years since I've heard it.

I may at some point, try to work on this one but Neil is cranking them out faster than I can learn them.

If I could just quit work, that would free up some more practice time.

Thanks once again for a really neat song Neil.
