So today's lesson is live for all Target users..

We recently had the opportunity to spend some time with Muriel Anderson and were thrilled that she was gracious enough to put together a couple of short lessons for TG. Here we have her arrangement of Nola, a 1915 novelty piano piece composed by Felix Arndt for his fiancee. This beautiful, ragtime-like tune in 12/8 time has been very popular with guitarists over the years.

Muriel's version is done in a G6 or Dropped G Tuning (DGDGBE) and the tab is available to purchase at her site- http://www.murielanderson.com/store.html?p=sheetmusic

There are multiple sections to the song and Muriel's lesson goes over the main section, which reoccurs between all the other sections, like a chorus would with multiple verses.

If there is enough interest, we would consider having Neil continue with the other sections somewhere down the line.

It is a Level 9 so hard core ...

Hope you enjoy

Cheers

Matt

I sure could get used to seeing more of Muriel.... but that is quiet a scary song at 9 on the Richter scale! Many thanks for something completely different.

I just purchased the sheet music to Nola from Muriel. I have to say it is excellent and only 5 bucks.

She also has several other songs to download.

Of course, downloading and learning are two different things!! Wish me luck.

I have watched both videos several times, I didn't notice though, did she actually have a guitar with her? :)

How do I rate getting a lesson from Muriel Anderson? I'm just pond scum and this is big time seriously good stuff. And it's doable, too.

Thanks,
