Today's Target and pay per lesson is now live
Many songs of the 80s were driven by keyboard riffs and a synthesized, electronic rhythm feel. A-Ha came out of Norway and added a pyrotechnic vocal element to the mix and produced *Take On Me*. This song, which only needs to be heard once to become unforgettable, is probably not one many people would think about playing on the guitar, and one segment discusses arranging keyboard pieces for guitar in general.
The lesson includes a basic rhythm guitar accompaniment as well as a chord solo of the intro, which incorporates the rapid keyboard riff into a strumming pattern.

Yeah, Dido Chris & Ness on this, Walt. I like your taste in music man.
Dan, (Isn't it?) b.t.w. Are you an Illinoisan? With your familiarity with: Bellville, Bloomington, and several other Land of Lincoln locales you mentioned... I am guessing you are a prairie state boy?
p.s. I saw Robbie Fulks in Springfield one night in a ittty-bittty dive bar there. One of the best shows I ever saw. So much intensity. Great songwriter. Nice! I was at Southern Illinois Edwardsville in '96 (just down the road from Belleville) That's when I fell in love with the Tupelo. Sounds like you were into 'em much sooner.

Yep, from Chicago, and went to college in Normal in the late 80s.
I saw Fulks in DC when I lived there, at a tiny club called Iota. Only time I've seen him live -- amazing show, just him and guitar. He did "Billie Jean," and brought the house down.
