Hi Everyone,
Today's Target and Pay Per Lesson release is now live ..
*Always On My Mind*is a song most people associate with Willie Nelson but the original was done by Brenda Lee in 1972. Elvis took a turn with it a little later. This lesson is mostly along the lines of Willie’s version in spite of the fact that the piano was the main accompanying instrument. We use a somewhat unusual double-bass-note strumming pattern, a few chord inversions, and some passing bass notes to make this a great and fun song for guitar players.

This is a great example of Willie as a guitar player more than just a crooner. My ex father in law loved Willie Nelson from the radio and from vinyl when he saw him for the first time he changed his mid and disliked him ... sad really He didn't like the look of a pony tail for gods sake! (my father in law was a pretty straight up good kiwi bloke and men didn't t have long hair lol, Good lesson in more ways than you imagined fort me anyway thanks
