Today's Target members only lesson is a new Fly On The Wall.

Kevin and I had spent the previous lesson going over the difference between Major 7 chords and Dominant 7 chords. This week he came back with so of it pretty clear and some of it still somewhat foggy. We go pretty far into the background and details before breaking into a Zac Brown song he had just started working on. This lesson is broken down into 3 parts as it was a bit intense and covered a lot of ground.

I enjoyed watching that - wish I could see the charts you were looking at though. Would be nice for lessons like this to post the attachments with the lesson. Thanks for sharing Kevin!

Kevin and Neil

Great Fly On The Wall
Interesting stuff
I've always thought it tricky figuring out chords across the strings because the notes are random.
I had it sort of figure at one point using intervals but I'd need to review that again.
Thanks for sharing.

While on the topic of Seventh’s I’d like to ask Neil a question.

When I asked this question about a year ago during a TG Live
Neil said he did not know what I meant when refering to 4 String 7th Chords.

I stopped practicing them because I didn’t know what to do with them.

See Attachment

My TGLive questions at that time were :
When are these chord fingerings used?
From a practical perspective - are there any particular songs we could use to practice them?

Thanks

Dermot

Very helpful lesson. I am reminded again that I need to find time to get back to the theory.
