Hi Everyone,

Today's Target and Pay Per Lesson release is now live.

Eskimo is one of Damien Rice's songs from his first album, O. Typical of many of his songs; it features a melancholy, repetitive sequence of chords with some nice additions that create a very interesting sound. This lesson looks at the way the studio version was originally done, as well as some of the embellishments that Damien has added in live versions over the last few years.

Enjoy this Level 4 lesson.

Finnish opera singers aren't used nearly enough in popular music these days...

Thanks for another fascinating lesson guys.

Just Fyi It was Damien Rices Birthday yesterday,

I put in all the requests for the next few lessons, one of which I am certain no-one on the planet has taught.

His middle name is Angst, and I am his Karmic brother.

Sure am diggin the Damien rice stuff... Those are great for open mic... in the college towns. I turned my wife onto his stuff about 4 -5 years ago ... & this is actually something we can agree on musically. So we if ever get any time together schedule -wise... Those two tunes are at the top of the list for an open mic...4 sure.

Sure like the sound of the ones coming...

Even though it is more poppy I like cannonball & blower's daughter as well.
Anyways, his stuff is all good I will take anything I can get my hands on.
Thanks for putting this up Neil and for dropping the hint(s) Matt!

I was really pleased to see these lessons from Damien Rice's first album. It may be enough to get me visiting the site more often.

Yes! I'll have to play this, thanks. It reminds me of my son, currently living 1200 miles away, who turned me on to Damien Rice, Pete Yorn, and many other great artists. So I'll have to learn this and think fondly of him as I do.
Thanks, Neil.

Jerry
