Hi Everyone,

Today's Target members only lesson is a new Fly On The Wall.

Fred came in having figured out a bit of the Marty Robbins song Devil Woman. It is played in the key of E and has a mostly country feel. We talked about the basic set of I-IV-V chords, the definition and common uses of secondary dominant chords, and how they are used in more common progressions. We also spent some time listening to and recognizing the I-IV-V chord changes by ear.

Hope you enjoy!

thanks Neil & Fred,
I liked learning about the secondary dominant chords. I have heard those in so many songs! This is one more piece of the puzzle, thanks again. Beaker.

Hey Willem and Beaker;

Thanks for dropping by...

Willem - another good song to practice the three string triads on is "Not Fade Away" by Buddy Holly. The high section in the middle of the song. I've been trying to work that into my practice routine.

Until Next Time...

Fred
