Hi Everyone,
We have a brand new pack of fingerpicking songs by Neil - Fingerpicking 101.
This new lessons package is valued at over $100. Right now we are offering lifetime access to these 8 lessons for a limited time at $37.95. This video lesson series is expertly taught by Neil Hogan .
This is our comprehensive primer on the techniques and concepts you need to get comfortable in the world of Fingerstyle Guitar. You only need to know a few basic, open chords to jump in. The series starts with proper hand position and how to strike the strings, takes you through arpeggio exercises and alternating bass styles, then completely debunks the myth that you need to master 1001 patterns. This is done by breaking out and explaining the components that go into creating fingerpicking accompaniments, rather than memorizing hundreds of unrelated pieces of information. Fingerpicking 101 will take the beginning student to the point where they will be ready to tackle hundreds of their favorite songs, many of which would seem out of reach before.

>>New Lessons Package - Fingerpicking 101
Hi Sam,
All the packages are a group of lessons that are already available for the Target member. They are in a form of packages for those who have let say target Lite (and wants more in one shot than the number of lessons per month they have) or for the non Target member who wants a series of lessons. So in Target they are all available but not presented in a package format (Have to go in the lesson section and choose from there).
Hope this helps
Marc

It's your lucky day Sam... you already own it all.
At the bottom of the Fingerpicking 101 page are 3 downloads (pdf) The first
Fingerpicking 101 downoads and opens. The other two end in GP6 and GP5.
When downloaded the suffix is .gpx and .gp5 and neither opens. You get
the box "What program do you want to use to open this file"

Hi Bill, this means that it is looking for the Guitar Pro software in your computer. This is a playing tab software that allows you to listen to the tab as it plays. You can slow it down or run small section in loop. A great learning tool. the software is about $60. You can also get a free version of TUXGuitar. It will allow you to play the Guitar Pro version 5 (not sure if you can play version 6 as it does not on my version of the software). Once you get the feel it, you might want to look into Guitar Pro which is easier to use and more flexible.
Have fun

You would see the tab and as it plays, it is pointing the notes one line at the time (all the notes from a chord would be in line so chord is just one sound). So it will play what is in the PDF (Pdf from this site are pretty accurate match with the Guitar Pro file).
Keep in mind that the pdf is not directly translated in Guitar Pro. Someone has entered manually the tab to create a guitar pro file. So if you take a pdf file on the web, it will not open in Guitar Pro, but you can search fro guitar pro file of the same song and you will find a variety of versions (these are free)
You can also have a better feel for the strumming pattern (when the sheet is made for it, which is not always the case as the sheet are made by individual). l You can then change the speed and isolate just one section to help understanding what is going on.
I think it is one the best tool to help learning.
You can download a free version that will work for 15 days, so that will give you an idea
