Hi Everyone,
Today's Target and Pay Per Lesson release is now live.
Find The Cost Of Freedom is a Stephen Stills song that is a staple at concerts by almost all incarnations of Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young. The song is played in Double Dropped D Tuning and the rhythm part is really only eight measures long. This lesson goes over the basics but also goes into playing leads over the progression using different modes. It also includes a long, improvised Abstract by Neil that started out as a Play Through for the lesson.

Thanks a lot Neil. There is a lot to work on with this! I'm @ work right now ( hardly working) but later when I get home I'll be getting deep into this lesson. Thanks again, Beaker

This is just nuts ... you definitely hit overdrive on this one, Neil.
Real motivation to better grasp the notes on the fretboard, and also to try out double dropped D tuning.
This will spark a lot of solo accompaniment projects, very innovative !

Great song, comprehensive lesson, amazing solo jam similar to the one on "Cowgirl in the Sand". I like that concept... teach the lesson and then play the song the way that YOU would want to play it. This could encompass the "chord solo" versions or maybe include leads and riffs that were not covered in the lesson. That gives us something to ask for as a Christmas present.

I just watched the 'outtakes' segment. Here I was expecting bloopers.
Instead, I see & hear Neil in an amazing improv, making one guitar sound like three... AND percussion!!
