Hi Everyone,
Today's Target and Pay Per Lesson release is now live.
Dance With Me has one of the greatest accompanying guitar parts of all time, in my opinion. It was a hit for Orleans in 1975, written by guitarist John Hall and his wife Johanna. It features a melodic riff, harmonized using thirds, as the backing part to vocals done in three-part harmony. This lesson includes a basic chord version as well as the somewhat difficult guitar part exactly the way John played it. It also includes a great outro vamp and flashy ending.

This has always been one of my favorites, but I never dreamed I'd be able to play it. Something tells me that if I could get this one down, I'd be many steps closer to being a really good guitar player.
Thanks Neil

This is such a gorgeous song; for the romantic in all of us.
I haven't looked at the lesson yet, but there's so much happening guitar-wise that it's bound to be tricky and deserving of the guru's magic insights.
Nice choice.

This is a song that i have always wanted to learn but was too lazy to figure it out on my own. Now that I see Neil breaking it down, I realize that I could have never figured it out on my own anyway
So, since we now have the master showing us how to play it correctly, I am going to take the time to learn this one!!!
Really love the acoustic sound with this song! It just sounds so magical. Might even sound better on a 12 string? (Which is actually what I thought it was played with) Oh well, one step at a time :woohoo:
Skill level 7 here I come! I'm not afraid of you...
Thanks Neil!
Bart
EDIT: Ok, I just watched it again. Maybe I am a little bit scared afterall
To my guitar...Dance with me, I want to be your partner can't you see.

I never realized that this song has such guitar-accompanying guitar parts in it! I know the song of course, classic. Well certainly a nice challenge, would be really cool to be able to play it! B)
