Hi Everyone,

Today's Target and Pay Per Lesson release is now live.

Take It To The Limit is a pretty basic strumming song in 3/4 time. Written by Randy Meisner, Glenn Frey, and Don Henley, it was released on The Eagles’ 1975 album One Of These Nights. This lesson looks a bit at the original key but mostly at the key they typically play it in now. It includes an ear-training segment, a very simple Campfire Version, and thoughts on embellishing it with bass runs and some lead fills.

Enjoy this level 1 lesson!

Really a classic. Very neat song. 1/2 through the campfire version, my screen gets the "PLAY AGAIN>" prompt. Anyone else getting this?

Hi Scott,

I just played the Campfire section with no problem, maybe a buffering think? I'll pass the info on to the tech wizards as well.

Thanks Neil. It could very likely be my end of the technology link. Wouldn't be the first time I've had one of those abnormality's. I'm used to the normal abnormality's. Its the abnormal abnormality's that tie me in knots. I've had that prompt on several other songs, and have never filed a ticket. Thats why I wondered if anyone else was getting them.

The walk-ups and -downs remind me a little of "Lean on Me," which I don't recall ever noticing before, but I might have 36 years ago.

Scott & Neil,

Yes, I get that scenerio quite often but have figured out that if I start that particular video over again, it goes away. Just do it early so you don't go through a really long segment twice.

Neil, Like many others have eluded to, you can never play too many Eagle songs for me...Keep em coming.

Thanks!

Bart

What a great addition to the site.... I am another who loves the Eagles. I just finished working up a transcription for "Try and Love Again". This was next on my list.... Love it!.... B)
